Love is in the air – or maybe that’s just delicious food, fresh flowers, and handcrafted candles? Either way, Waynesboro has a lineup of Valentine’s Day events that will make your heart skip a beat (or maybe warm it up a little bit, if you’re anything like me). Feeling fancy? Only observing Galentine’s Day this year? Are you crafty? Do you feel like enthusiastically collecting another plant or two that will either flourish forever or face a slow demise from neglect? Whatever your Valentine’s Day is shaping up to look like this year, I have got to admit that Waynesboro is really stepping it up in 2025. Here’s the lineup (in no particular order, especially chronological):

Valentine’s Tea Party

February 13 | 3:00 PM
Shenandoah Valley Art Center

Pinkies up, lovebirds! SVAC is hosting a Valentine’s Tea Party where $40 gets you a high tea experience and a lovely afternoon of art.

Prix Fixe Dinner

February 14 & 15 | 5:30 PM
Crack O’ Dawn Gluten-Free Bistro

Crack O’ Dawn has decided to class it up a bit (their words, not ours) with a special prix fixe menu for two. For $80 per couple, enjoy a beautifully curated dinner in an intimate setting. If you’ve ever had Crack O’ Dawn, then you know just because it’s gluten-free doesn’t mean it’s taste-free!

Valentine’s Day Special

February 14 & 15
Royal India Palace

Spice up (literally) your Valentine’s Day at Royal India Palace. They’ve partnered with Bloomaker to give all guests a free waxed amaryllis bulb—because nothing says ‘I love you’ like delicious and authentic Indian food and a beautiful flower. Reservations are highly recommended!

Red and Black Party

February 15 | 6:00 – 10:00 PM
Plaza Antigua

It’s the annual Red and Black Party! Plaza Antigua is turning up the heat on V-Day with DJ Fuego and food and drink specials. If you’re over the candle-lit dinner scene, then dress in your best black and red and get out there and party party.

William Shakespeare’s Romeo & Juliet

Opens February 14
The Wayne Theatre

Nothing says romance like feuding families, dramatic misunderstandings (spoiler: they end in death), and a love story that runs its course in about three days. Romeo & Juliet kicks off at the Wayne on Valentine’s Day – perfect for couples who want to feel better about their own communication skills.

Basic City Makers Market Valentine’s Pop-Up

February 15 | 11:00 AM
The Foundry at Basic City

Forget to buy a gift? Want to treat yourself this year and make sure you get exactly what you like? Head to the Makers Market and find just the right thing. Bonus: You can sip a beer while you shop which makes spending money so much easier.

One Love Valentine’s Day Celebration

February 15 | 8:00 PM
The Foundry

It’s all love and good vibes at The Foundry with the Jen Tal Band and Elie Cook. This is just the event for those in a relationship, situationship, in the mood to meet someone, or just there to dance their asses off. It’s always a good time at The Foundry!

Valentine’s Day Crafts

February 8 | 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Waynesboro Landscape & Garden Center

We’re going to shift gears to super wholesome family fun. You can bring the whole fam to Waynesboro Landscape & Garden Center to create a handmade craft (and shop for some awesome plants and flowers). Perfect way to keep the kids entertained for an afternoon!

Valentine’s Day Candle Workshop

February 12 | 6:00 – 8:00 PM
Orchard Creek

Keeping with the craft theme, nothing says romance like making your own candles. You’ll be able to create two 8oz candles – perfect for setting the mood, covering up the smell of burnt dinner, giving your mom yet another handmade gift, whatever you want to do with them! While you’re there enjoy dinner and drinks at Orchard Creek’s restaurant and bar!

Galentine’s Day Retreat at Wild & Free Holistic Spa

February 8 | Starts at Noon
Wild & Free Holistic Spa

Grab your real-life Tom or Donna and TREAT YO’ SELF! (Fun fact: according to my one page of Google research, the term Galentine’s Day originated from the show Parks and Rec in 2010.) Wild & Free does Galentine’s Day up right every year, so hurry up and grab your tickets for a day of relaxation and indulgence before other, less deserving, Tom and Donna duos treat THEM SELVES.

Valentine’s Market

February 8 | 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Happ Coffee

Stop by Happ Coffee Roaster’s Valentine’s Market and browse candles, jewelry, pottery, art, and the cutest crochet items that will make you say, “Okay, but I need this.” And because shopping is hard work, they’re also launching a special Valentine’s menu that starts that day. Will it be delicious? Obviously. Will you want to try everything? Also yes. Don’t miss it!

But wait…. We saved what is, for some, the best, for last:

Parents Night Out: A Valentine’s Day Miracle

February 14 | 5:00 – 9:00 PM
Rosenwald Community Center

Roses are red, violets are blue, drop your kids off, and do whatever you want to! The saints over at Waynesboro’s Parks and Rec are hosting Parents Night Out and entertaining kids ages 4-12 with crafts, games, snacks, and more. Drop-off starts at 5:00 pm, pick-up is at 9:00 pm, and spots are limited, so you need to register, like, NOW!

Romantic dinner, Galentine’s bash, Shakespeare, whatever way you plan to observe, Waynesboro fully supports your choices and has tons to offer whether you’re making memories, or just trying to make it through. Happy Valentine’s Day!
