The garden provides a tangible special place for people to reflect on the courage, dignity, and hope of those who have overcome cancer and those who have fought it so bravely, but lost. The garden is on a one acre knoll at the south entrance to Ridgeview Park off Northgate Avenue. A walkway leads you through an array of low growing shrubs, brightly colored flowers, all full of green leaves in the summer and beautiful color in the fall. Special benches line the walkways throughout the garden for your convenience.
Come ring the Peoples Bell three times to celebrate the end of treatments, to remember a loved one, or to bring hope for cure for all. A grass path leads visitors down to the South River for those who want to sit and listen to the quiet ripple of the water. Numerous plaques displayed in and around the garden explain the deep commitment from businesses, organizations, and individuals who believe in the fight against cancer.
We invite you to experience this beautiful gateway to nature, remembering the blessings of good health.
